Methods vs. Relationship

...so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11).

Many people hear the voice of the enemy, far more than they hear the voice of God or the angels.

These people are outsmarted when they think that this wicked voice is their own--and even more when they are convinced that there is no enemy spirit, seeking to destroy them and others.

Surely, the enemy is not the focus of our lives--Abba, Jesus and Holy Spirit is.

Yet we are to be aware of the enemy's methods without being morbidly obsessed with him or them.

Holy Spirit was speaking to me about the devil's schemes or methods. The enemy uses a tactic that is like M.A.D (Mutually Assured Destruction). He uses the children of God to abuse and destroy other children of God and themselves. I have seen this through so many lives--even my own old life.

Anger, jealousy, vengeance, greed, lust, violence, unforgiveness... these are some of the methods of the enemy whispered into the souls of the children of God to bring them toward M.A.D.

Not being outsmarted is not merely an issue of the mind but of the spirit. it is being able to discern spirits and the origin of thoughts and emotions that approach us. Anything that seeks to steal, kill and destroy life is from the enemy and anything that gives abundant life is from Jesus (John 10:10).

Romans 12:9-21 is Paul's discourse on how to overcome evil. He says that we do not return evil with evil but return evil with good. We take the devil's attempt at M.A.D and turn his curse into a blessing. Loving and honouring others more than ourselves bring peace.

The enemy reveals his method by speaking through evil thoughts through us toward others. he reveals areas of weakness in ourselves and others to attempt to destroy us. he also reveals areas of strength, which he fears and is trying to tear down.

It is being aware of these things and being able swiftly to turn the curse into a blessing that can help the children of God experience greater freedom from the enemy and his attacks.

The devil uses methods.

The children of God live the divine relationship.

Since we are in Christ and have His mind, we can be like Him, able to transform every temptation of the enemy into a victory, never stumbling in the secret place with Abba, Jesus and Holy Spirit.

Enjoying His glory in you,
